Paige Bus Enterprises

In 1970, Walter & Myrtle Paige began Paige Bus Enterprises by providing transportation service to domestic workers from the south and west side of Chicago to their jobs in the north suburbs. Later, in 1971, Paige Bus Enterprises was successful in obtaining contracts to transport children with special needs for the Chicago Public Schools. Paige Bus Enterprises grew into a family run business that today transports approximately seven thousand students and employs approximately two hundred people.

In 1998, Paige Bus Enterprises first joined forces with Cook-Illinois Corporation, the largest, family-owned and operated school bus contractor in the country. A wholly owned subsidiary of Cook-Illinois Corporation since 2006, Paige Bus Enterprises has grown to continue to provide transportation for:

• Students in grades K-12
• Special needs transportation
• Head Start
• Commuter Services
• Shuttle service for sporting events
• School and church events
• State-contracted adult special needs transportation
