At a recent school board meeting for District 70, Alex Diaz was honored for his prompt, professional, and caring reaction to student bullying while driving bus Route 42 for Copeland Manor School on Oct. 9th.

From the Principal, “I was impressed with how Alex pulled the bus over to speak to the students and stop the behavior as it was occurring (aggressive name calling).  He then continued to talk to the students as he was dropping them off, encouraging them to be respectful and that he wanted his bus to be a safe place for everyone.  Please join us in positively recognizing Alex for his excellent response to a difficult situation and making a positive difference in our students’ day.”  Alex, congratulations on a job well done!
