For the past 50 years, both Cook-Illinois Corporation and Go-Ahead Group, based in the United Kingdom, have earned solid reputations for quality contract school bus service and innovation. Go-Ahead is one of the UK’s leading providers of bus and rail services, transporting more than 25% of the area’s daily public transportation via bus and rail services. Recently, the two transportation powerhouses joined forces to create a new company, Go-Ahead North America, to share common strengths, environmental concerns, capabilities and an ongoing commitment to reliable, safe school bus transportation.
The partnership quickly demonstrated its excellence and was awarded a school bus contract in metropolitan St. Louis, Missouri, operating more than 130 school buses daily.
Go-Ahead North America services the Voluntary Interdistrict Choice Corporation (VICC) in St. Louis, as well as St. Louis Charter Schools.
Go-Ahead North America continues to look for opportunities to service school districts outside of the Chicago area. To find out more about Go-Ahead North America’s services, please contact John Benish, Jr. or Mike Medin at 708-560-9840.
